Chambal River Safari

National Chambal Sanctuary is also known as National Chambal Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary. Among tourist, it famous as Chambal Boat Safari. The National Chambal Sanctuary is home to The Gharials & Skimmers, Marsh Crocodiles(Muggers), eight species of Turtles. The sanctuary currently boasts of over 316 species of resident and migratory birds including large nesting colonies of the Indian Skimmers, the Greater Thick-knee, Lapwings etc. Another reason why visiting Palighat crocodile park is one of the best things to do in Ranthambore is, the presence of huge numbers of 'Gharials'; which is already an endangered species, living along with mighty marsh crocodiles within the steams of Chambal river.

To be more precise, the hour-long safari trips are organized 10 times every day, and you can book any one of them according to the time you find comfortable for you. The first safari starts at 8:00 am and the last one takes place at 5:00 pm

Ranthambore Fort

Ranthambore Fort lies within the Ranthambore National Park, near the city of Sawai Madhopur in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, India. The fort is constructed in 940 by Chauhan King Rantabang dev. This fort was included in the World Heritage Site of the World Heritage Committee in 37 sessions. Ranthambore Fort declared as World Heritage. The Ranthambore Fort spreads over an area of 7 kilometers in circumference and includes an area of nearly 4 square kilometers. The fort had many buildings inside of which only a few have survived the ravages of wars and time. Among the remaining ruins, the two pavilions, Badal Mahal , Dullah Mahal, 32 Pillared Chhatri and Hammirs court give an idea of the old grandeur.The Fort also has many cenotaphs, mosques,temples, barracks, step-well and gates. The fort is surrounded by massive stonewalls which are strengthened by towers and bastions.

  • 10 to 31 October: Morning - 6.30am to 10am; evening - 2.30pm to 6pm
  • 1 November to 31 January: Morning - 7am to 10.30am; evening - 2pm to 5.30pm
  • 1 February to 31 March: Morning - 6.30am to 10am; evening - 2.30pm to 6pm
  • 1 April to 15 May: Morning - 6am to 9.30am; evening - 3pm to 6.30pm
  • 16 May to 30 June: Morning - 6am to 9.30 am; evening - 3.30pm to 7pm.
